BRYCE MENZIES AND CARL RENEZEDER FIGHT TO STAY ON PODIUM

The weather in Arizona did not comply on Friday, which cancelled practice and qualifying. With no qualifying, the starting order went off of points. Bryce started in the front row on both classes. The first race of the night on Friday were the Pro 4’s and Bryce found himself in a battle for the lead early on with Carl Renezeder. After a caution midway through Bryce was eventually passed by the #99 truck of Kyle Leduc but finished in 2nd.

The final race of the evening was the ever-competitive Pro 2 class. Bryce started on the front row and took the lead out of turn 1. He went on to lead the first 6 laps before landing in a hole that ripped the mount off the lower arm. This ended the night in the Pro 2. The crew worked late to get the issue resolved and we were ready for action on Saturday.

First up on Saturday were the Pro 4’s once again and Bryce was eager to get out front. He battled with Eric Barron for 5 laps before Barron crashed over the finish line jump. Unfortunately as Barron crashed, Kyle Leduc simultaneously got by Bryce and he took the win.

Bryce was ready to pick up where he left off on Friday night before the truck broke in his last Pro 2 race of the weekend. He started in the 3rd row based on qualifying results and found himself in 3rd place after the first turn. He managed to get by Rob MacCachren when he spun out in turn 2. Bryce was doing his best to catch up to the eventual race winner Patrick Clark but did not have the speed.

All in all it was an ok weekend for Menzies Motorsports.  It would have been nice to maintain the streak of being on the podium in every race but that’s racing. your support!
